(BANGKOK, August 26, 2022)— On August 26, 2022, the Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights invited Fortify Rights Regional Director Vanessa Chong to be an advisor in rapid-respond grantmaking, one of her specialty areas. Advisors have expertise in thematic or regional contexts and can provide guidance to the Urgent Action Fund staff and board as grant requests are considered.
Vanessa joined Fortify Rights in March 2019. Before becoming a director in 2022, Vanessa served as a Senior Grants Specialist overseeing Fortify Rights’s funding portfolio to ensure human rights for all. Vanessa Chong previously worked with Diakonia Sweden as a Regional Advisor for Resource Mobilization and Humanitarian Issues.
As an advisor with the Urgent Action Fund, Vanessa will provide guidance and strategic direction on responding to crisis situations through participatory grant-making.
