(BANGKOK, July 2025)—Ukrainian human rights group Truth Hounds participated in a series of high-level strategic meeting with Thai officials, members of the National Unity Government of Myanmar, diplomatic representatives, and others during their visit to Thailand. For example, Truth Hounds met Anucha Chintakanond, a former member of Thailand’s Office of National Security Council, and with Angkhana Neelapaijit, the Chair of the Thai Senate’s subcommittee on human rights. These meetings provided an opportunity for Truth Hounds to share information about the human rights situation in Ukraine and the war between Ukraine and Russia as well as issues that might affect Thailand, such on issues related to human trafficking, forced militarization, and the cooperation between Russia and Myanmar.
The organization with representatives of the National Unity Government of Myanmar, the Australian Embassy in Bangkok, and The Asia Foundation. The meeting discussed the Russian supported nuclear power plant project in Myanmar, trafficking and mercenaries from Asian countries in the Russian war, and the effect of aid cuts along the Thailand-Myanmar border.
