Rohingya Women Speak out for Women During Women’s History Month

(BANGKOK, March 2021)—During the month of March, in recognition of Women’s History Month, Fortify Rights worked with five Rohingya women to develop animated social-media cards with messages of strength and support for Rohingya women. The social media cards included empowering quotes from Dr. Yasmin Haroon, a pediatrician in the U.S.; Dr. Ambia Perveen, a child and adolescent psychiatrist in Germany; Sajeda Bahadurmia, a mother and community leader in Australia; Noor Azizah, a primary school teacher in Australia; and Syaedah Bi, the co-founder of the Rohingya Women’s Theater in Malaysia. Fortify Rights published the cards on our social media networks throughout the month of March.
