(May 26, 2025)—On May 26, 2025, the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) renewed Fortify Rights Chief Executive Officer Matthew Smith’s appointment to its Panel of Experts, recognizing his significant contribution to ICMP’s work. The Panel of Experts meet annually to review ICMP’s work and make recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of processes to account for the missing. The Commission first appointed Matthew Smith to the panel in 2021.
