“They know families were here… They wanted to kill us, so they dropped these bombs on us. … Why are they hunting us down to kill us?” a survivor of the attack described experiencing a junta airstrike.

A film documenting the March 5, 2026, junta airstrike on a detention camp in Karenni holding women and children linked to junta soldiers. Detention facilities holding protected persons, including prisoners of war, are protected under international humanitarian law. Governments should not legitimize Myanmar’s military junta. Instead, they should support the country’s pro-democracy movement, including state-level governance initiatives in Karenni State.
