(BANGKOK, November 2022)—On November 16, 2022, the Rohingya Language Preservation Project—a Rohingya-led and directed initiative—launched its first report, based on participatory action research conducted between July and December 2021. The report provides new and important findings about how the Rohingya language plays a critical and central role in Rohingya cultural identity and cultural preservation in Bangladesh and worldwide.

Fortify Rights was proud to provide technical support to the Rohingya Language Preservation Project in developing the report and accompanying news release, multimedia materials—including films and social media cards—as well as support in organizing an online press conference and panel discussion to launch the report.
